His breakfasts, including his Scottish Borders breakfast, were the best we had on our entire trip and we looked forward eagerly every morning to his delicious cooking and good coffee. He was/is an excellent host and it was lovely to hear the story of how his family came to own the hotel. The building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, the dining area was bright and open, the food was excellent and all the staff were 1st class.

The units are equipped with heating facilities. The host was welcoming and helpful. We had a very spacious bedroom with extremely comfortable beds. It was nice and quiet at night -- couldn't hear any noise from the road. And it included a lovely breakfast as well. Wish we had been staying longer than just one night. Thank you!
