Absolutely beautiful property! Sauna was incredible…do not pass it up if you stay. We opted for the rustic cabin which got fairly chilly in the winter, but the wood stove worked great and heated the space up quickly. Everything was thought of and we loved the stay.

We had an exceptional stay at Saris (and her sons) place. She is renting out two rooms in her really big and cozy apartment. Both, the apartment and room are super clean. Sari provides room towels, bath ropes and a hair dryer. Breakfast is included, which means in this case that you have access to a fridge with multiple options for a simple but good breakfast, including vegetables and fruits. You can also make some coffee or tea. The kitchen is very well equipped and you're able to use it freely and cook something for dinner yourself. Sari is really kind, patient, always eager to assist and answers all your questions. Additionally she provides great inside tips on tours and places in Rovaniemi. Her welcoming atmosphere lets you truly feel at home. Even though the apartment is not in the middle of the city center you can walk there easily or use the buses which leave at a 3 minute walking distance from the house. We can most definitely recommend staying with Sari and are looking forward to staying at her place again when we come back!

Resort Kurjenoja, a property with a terrace, is situated in Rovaniemi, 10 km from Arktikum Science Centre, 12 km from Santa Park, as well as 14 km from Santa Claus Village. This homestay features free private parking and a shared kitchen. Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking homestay has a sauna. The room is really spacious, with all you need. If you arrive early enough you can use the sauna, kitchen is huge. The only thing that could be unpleasant is that you can't access the toilet directly from your room. Anyway the family is super nice and for me was not a problem at all.

The house was amazing , very warm , cozy, very clean, it had everything inside and even more ! The location was perfect , near the airport, near the SCV and near the city but in the quiet place, with a lot of snow and surrounded by trees what made that place magical . The owners thought about every small detail. The sauna was great. I recommend that place to everyone, especially with the kids :)

A recently renovated property, Heritage House Taimela -homestay Great for families is situated in Rovaniemi near Rovaniemi Local History Museum, Forestry Museum of Lapland. The property has inner courtyard views and is 4.8 km from Arktikum Science Centre and 10 km from Santa Park. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This is a fab place to stay. A great start to our Lapland trip. Very comfortable for our large group of ten with everything you could need including food which was brilliant when we arrived so late. We also loved the massage chair. Kids loved the outdoor play space and a short walk to a frozen lake for sledging and aurora hunting. Excellent value for money and the hosts were very friendly.

Super cute and cozy. It was clear the owners put in effort to make it a charming stay and we loved it. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful and we would absolutely recommend staying with them. I forgot my soap in their shower and they went above and beyond to meet me in the city center on our journey back south to return it. We liked that the location was a little outside the city center, but everything is super accessible due to the proximity to the bus line and the walking paths into the city (about 40-50 minutes walking). While totally out of anybody’s control, we got to see the northern lights the first night in town which added a little extra magic to our stay.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. This is a wonderful apartment. Clean and spatious, comfortable beds. Excellent WiFi. Very kind and responsive host. Location is a bit outside town but there are buses and taxis available. Squeaky clean bathroom with heated flooring (much needed after a whole day out in the snow!). Coffee and tea available in the kitchen. We were welcomed by the host himself. There were small chocolates as well. The host even gave us a lift to the train station after check out. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed watching snow falling from the large windows surrounding the whole place. Christmas tree, polite staff, fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofa, I didn't pay Euro 5 for the sauna but it's possible, I stayed 3 nights, could have stayed longer, will stay again if I am back.
