GETXO ROOMS is gelegen op 13 km van Zubizuri en 13 km van Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, en heeft kamers in Getxo. At the suggestion of Correos, we started our Bilbao segment of the Camino del Norte at the Guggenheim Museum and followed the path along the Nervion River the entire distance to Gexto. Gexto Rooms was chosen primarily due to its proximity to the Vizcaya Bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), but was much more! This small hotel seems to be newly renovated with great attention to detail and hospitality. Bathroom was modern and clean and roomy. Bed was very comfortable and linens were of nice quality. Our hosts were gracious, accommodating, and interested in providing a fine stay, which it was! Note for pilgrims: Though not the "official" Way, this alternate route made for an easy warm-up day to begin our hike to Santander. Civil improvements being made to the pedestrian walkway have softened this largely industrial zone and a Lidl supermarket, located about 5 miles in, carried any beverages or snacks you might wish to stock up on. Arriving in Las Arenas early in the afternoon allowed for a relaxed start to our week and time to enjoy the town's beach promenade and sample plenty of pinchos! The following morning, we crossed over to Portugalete via the gondola— an experience that we would've otherwise missed! The Camino's yellow arrow was easy to find on the other side.

Lekuona is gelegen in Galdakao, en biedt accommodatie met een terras of een balkon, gratis WiFi en flatscreen-tv, en een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Privéparkeren op het terrein. I was exceedingly late arriving to Lekuona and Fernando was gracious and communicative. The house is impeccable, extreme attention to detail for the guests comfort; the bed and pillows were of absolute highest quality, I wished I could have stayed there longer just to sleep and rest; the bathroom very clean, great shower, monogrammed towels. Very quiet. I had to leave at dawn to the airport, and it couldn’t have been more conveniently located to drive. I will return to Lekuona.

KH Lezama Suites, Breakfast & Laundry LBI00530 ligt in Lezama, op 13 km van Santiagokathedraal en 13 km van Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao. Beautiful! And very comfortable

Habitaciones Apartamento B&B Plaza Nueva 8 ligt in het centrum van Bilbao, dicht bij Santiagokathedraal, Teatro Arriaga en treinstation Abando. De accommodatie biedt een terras en gratis WiFi. Perfect, magical location. Spacious room and bathroom. Great communication with helpful host. Nice breakfast and appreciated having a washing machine. Loved our stay.

Raúl was a great host. He provided all the information needed in a very orginazed way and I found him very reliable from the day I booked the apartment. I think he was very generous with the confort provided during our stay. Thank you so much! The apartment is super cozy, has enough space and is very well kept. You will also find all the kitchen supplies and food basics that you don't usually buy in the supermarket for a 3 day stay such as olive oil or salt, for example - I found it a very kind gesture from the host and I hope all the future guests are deserving of it! 🙂. If there is anything you'd want specifically, there is a Lidl supermarket just 2 minutes away by foot. The location is also great, a 15 min walk will get you to all the Bilbao main attractions such as Casco Viejo, Guggenheim or Moyúa Plaza (for transport to Gaztelugatxe, Portugalete/Getxo & Airport). The quality-price ratio couldn't be any better in my opinion. Was perfect for a 3 day stay in the city.

Habitación, salita y baño privado, REATE LBI00466 bevindt zich in Bilbao, op 3,6 km van BEC Bilbao en 3,8 km van San Mamés Rail Station, en biedt accommodatie met voorzieningen zoals gratis WiFi en... Rustige locatie in een wijk net buiten het centrum, maar het centrum is fantastisch goed te bereiken met de trein in 11 minuten voor iets meer dan 1 euro. Jose, de gastheer was heel erg behulpzaam met instructies en tips en sprak goed engels. Hij stelde zelfs een openbaar vervoerkaart te beschikking om daarmee heel goedkoop te reizen. Zeer aan te bevelen en komen graag weer terug!

Superviews, parking vigilado en habitación independiente con baño privado en apartamento particular, Français&English ligt in Bilbao, op slechts 8 minuten lopen van Metrostation San Mamés, en biedt... Fabulous hosts who communicated well in advance of the stay, and for whom nothing was too much trouble. The property is within a very doable 25 minute walk into the heart of the city, but also close to a tram stop for those with reduced mobility or less time. Great views of the hills around the city from the 14th floor apartment. Great breakfast!

Burruzkale Etxea is gelegen in Orozko, op 23 km van Santiagokathedraal, en biedt een tuin, allergievrije kamers, en gratis WiFi. Deze accommodatie beschikt over een excursiebalie en een zonneterras. It was a wonderful renovated medieval property in a small isolated village surrounded by mountains, yet 20-25 minutes close to Bilbao.
