Homestays in Punta Del Diablo

Juan, Rafael, and Karen were amazing hosts. The place was quaint and beautifully presented. They really cared about their guests and were keen to make sure that our stay was perfect. Juan cooked breakfast each morning, including home cooked bread, cakes, omlette, jams, and other savoury treats . There was an option to have a home cooked dinner. Karen is an amazing cook also. We enjoyed an authentic Brazilian dinner and had a bottle of Uruguayan red wine. Rafael is their 19 year old son, and he stays there during his summer break. His help and kindness were really appreciated. He speaks perfect English, as well as Spanish & Portuguese. He was always happy to talk with us and give us information about the area. Juan was also enthusiastic, and we managed to communicate with our limited Spanish and also with Rafaels help. They also provided deck chairs, beach umbrellas, and towels for our day on the beach.

Rudy and his partner (I’m sorry for not remembering her name) were so friendly, welcoming, and happy. They’ve built a wonderful refuge in Punta del Diablo and helped me check on restaurant hours and reservation requirements as well as give me information about the best local beaches to visit. The breakfast was a lovingly prepared set to keep anyone going for a whole day of walking or relaxing on the beach.

The place is very new, all of the facilities are in perfect condition. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Had a great time staying here. Very recommended!

Breakfast was great. The accomodation is rustic, that is basic but charming, and terrific value for money. What is really exceptional is the warmth, kindness and helpfulness of Ampay and Guillame.
