Beautiful place with private hot spring. You can sit at the fire in the evening, enjoying the guitar. Friendo is a very kind owner. He takes good care after you, preparing fresh breakfast. You also can make tours with him, showing you the beauty of Siwa. I stayed 4 days and Friendo became a real friend, he makes you feeling at home. Our stay at the newly renovated old Shali house turned into homestay was a wonderful experience, made very special due to our host Ahmed Maradona. He is very knowledgeable about Siwa, took us on great trips to a private salt lake and around the oasis. Rooms are spacious and decorated with great care for local traditions, each has its own bathroom and common area is very cozy to relax. If you need anything, Maradona will get it to you in a second. Free and working WiFi in all areas is a big plus. The place is very peaceful, but just a short walk takes you to the center of the lively town. You can climb to Shali fortress from just behind the house and we had a view to its top from our bathroom.
