The beach is also just 50 metres away, offering a variety of water-sports and nature tours. The location was perfect with a view from our balcony to the bay. The rooms were spacious and the shared common room were fantastic. The staff we exteremely kind and responsive. They gifted us a bottle of wine for the most minor of inconvenience. The breakfast box for our early morning departure was tremendous!

The reception, check-in, and recommendations are excellent. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional. The view of the mountains are great and it is walking distance to restaurants in the area.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Rivergate Guest Farm is a recently renovated guest house located in Stanford, 19 km from Vogelgat Nature Reserve. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The guest house features facilities for disabled guests. Mitchell came to our unit and offered to take us with our grandchildren to see the farm in the back of his bakkie. The boys walked with the chickens, picked out eggs, checked the vege garden, drove a tractor and were generally spoilt - Mitchell was their hero. We walked with the Al Paco's, the geese and even visited the goat house, We had sundowners on the deck, made a beautiful hot tub and experienced their amazing "Eathouse" meals. The Breakfast basket was exceptional.

Breakfast was delicious and we were able to eat it outside while the waves crashed against the rocks nearby.
