Prem and his family are the greatest people I've met in Nepal ( and I mean it!!). You will have an opportunity to stay with many locals and share about their culture. A lot of cute kids were always playing around, so the place was really lively. The food was excellent and the room & bathroom were sparkling clean! The village of Namobuddha is very authentic and the scenery stunning. If you're lucky enough, you will also have the opportunity to meet Ian who lives there and runs a charity association to provide water pipelines for remote villages. Trust me, go there ...that's the kind of place you will never forget.

HOTEL RUPAKOT AND ROOFTOP RESTAURANT is gelegen in Bhaktapur, op 3 minuten lopen van Bhaktapur Durbar Square en beschikt over een terras, een bar en uitzicht op de bergen. Perfecte plek in Bhaktapur, vlakbij alle mooie bezienswaardigheden. Heel erg vriendelijk personeel, prachtige rooftop volop in de zon maar ook met schaduwplekken. Ontbijt was heerlijk.

Nirvana Kuti ligt in Kathmandu, op 2,5 km van Swayambhunath en 3,5 km van Tempel van Swayambhunath. Bobby is an excellent, caring and friendly host,he picked me up from the bus stop, waiting patiently as traffic held us up. A ride on the back of his motorbike to the hotel was great fun! Room spacious, double and single beds, wardrobe, chair and table, several power points, clothes stand. Directly outside the room is a wash basin, shower room and toilet next door, plus kitchen with kettle. Each guest is on a seperate floor, so very private. Sat up on the roof terrace in the sun one morning too. Central position, 2 minutes from Durbar Square, plenty of local shops including a supermarket next door to the hotel.

STUPA VIEW INN bevindt zich in Kathmandu, op 5 minuten lopen van Swayambhunath en beschikt over een tuin, een terras en uitzicht op de stad. Het personeel is echt heel aardig en staat altijd voor je klaar. De bedden zijn super lekker en er is een fijn dakterras waar je kan chillen. De kamer en badkamer zijn basic, maar prima! Het is een beetje buiten het centrum dus lekker rustig. Wel faciliteiten in de buurt !

U will find many sitting spots in the complex where u can work peacefully or just enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Attached to it is the nunnery and also a beautiful garden. It’s only 6m walk to the Stupa. Near the entrance there is a new clinic in case u need to do some checks. Many local restaurants are nearby. The price is modest and funds the nunnery 🙏🙏🙏

Peacock Guest House ligt op 100 meter van het stadscentrum en biedt een restaurant, Mayur Restaurant, dat Indiase en regionale gerechten serveert. Peacock Guest House is a beautiful 700year old Newari building situated in one of the oldest squares in the UNESCO world heritage town of Bhaktapur. This was one of the most beautiful and magical hotels we have stayed in and I only wish we had more time to enjoy its charms. The management and staff were extremely helpful and the restaurant and cocktails superb.

ROKPA Guest House ligt in Boudha, Tinchule, op 200 m van de Boudhanath Stupa en het Sechen klooster. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Een hele mooie centrale plek om te verblijven. Ik heb genoten. Met een fantastische afsluiter tijdens Diwali waarbij de jongeren gingen optreden. Wat een fijne en liefdevolle mensen! Ik kom graag nog eens terug🫶

Zen Nest Hotel ligt in Kathmandu, op 3,1 km van Tempel van Swayambhunath en 5,1 km van Pashupatinath. The owner and the staff were incredibly helpful and very welcoming. They were always ready to answer questions and give directions and even recommended a good restaurant and timing for momo. The owner also helped me to book the tourist bus without charging any commission. The room was simple but very clean and well-maintained. I love my short stay here. I will definitely reserve a stay here if I ever visit Kathmandu again.
