We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

Set in Gretna, Kirkcroft Guest House is a recently renovated accommodation, 42 km from Thirlwall Castle and 16 km from Carlisle Castle. Everything was just great. The room was lovely and the breakfast was first class . They even refroze our ice packs for our journey up to Inverness.

But Ann was so welcoming and lovely - available but not intrusive. Loved having a chat in the morning over coffee!! Such a lovely location, minutes from the town centre yet feels miles away, peaceful and quiet. An amazing breakfast, good quality food, and a clear amount of effort. I grew up around here, so know the area but this was a fantastic base to do some exploring. Good room, clean and comfortable.
