Astrid was very hospitable, kitchen was very well-equipped, generally clean and modern, with space to spread out, and less than 5 min to Siebnen-Wangen train station. There's also a book that tells you about the history of the hotel (in German only). Very cosy place to stay.

Fronalpstock Hotel & Restaurant is situated in Stoos, 1922 metres above sea level and next to the 4er Sesselbahn Fronalpstock and 6er Sesselbahn. Located amidst the Ski Region Stoos, the inn is only accessible by foot or via the cable car. There’s a special kind of magic that begins when the last cable car leaves at 4 p.m. and you’re left almost alone at the top of the mountain. It’s an unforgettable experience. The views are among the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen, with beautiful hiking trails and even a playground right next to the hotel. The view from the room is incredible – you can relax on a sun lounger on the terrace and simply take it all in (there are even blankets for cooler evenings!). The staff were absolutely lovely. Special thanks to the kind waitress, the kitchen staff, and the person who welcomed us at check-in. They made our stay even more special. Breakfasts were tasty, and the dinners were truly delicious with prices that are reasonable by Swiss standards.

Great place in the mountains for hiking and resting near the lakes. Very friendly staff, so helpful and supportive. Amazing cuisine - we did enjoy the food there (all three meals). Views are stunning. The village is quite small, doesn't have a lot of events. Comfy beds, clean shared bathrooms, clean towels. Places to sit and spend time near hotel.

The centre of the village is reachable within a pleasant 15-minute walk and in winter the ski bus brings you to the train and cable car station for free. The bus station is reachable on foot in 4 minutes. In winter, please take bus stop Heimat, in summer please take bus stop Brunni. Those bus stops also are the correct ones coming from the train station. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely view and nice breakfast.

Sunshine and a good breakfast provided on the terrace with superb views is a delightful way to start the day.

At the guest house, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. The stay was absolutely awesome! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how thoughtfully everything was arranged. There were so many amenities and little details taken care of that I honestly found myself wondering what wasn’t included in this stay. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and felt instantly welcoming. Even though I had planned to stay for just one night, I was seriously tempted to extend my trip.not only because of the excellent facilities, but also because of the breathtaking, scenic location. Waking up to such a view felt like a dream. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, convenience, and natural beauty so perfectly. If I ever get the chance, I’ll be back for a much longer stay. I will book this stay again for sure.

The location was also very convenient for accessing Mount Pilatus.
