Our host was absolutely amazing. We had a transport nightmare on the way and she saved us completely. Thank you again! It is just the perfect place to relax and spend your vacation at the Lago Maggiore. You stay in a beautiful and luxury villa. The whole area and the house are very well maintained and clean. The room and the bathroom are spacious and equipped with everything you need. At night, it was so dark and quiet in the room, that I had the best sleep of my holidays. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The pool is big enough to swim and also very clean. The floating couch is so comfortable, I could have spent my whole vacation on it. There are many interesting things to visit around, all main attractions of the area are nearby, but you need a car. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. They make you feel like home immediately. I hope to come back one day. Mille Grazie!

This hotel was the highlight of the trip. Set in a beautiful old house in a wonderful part of the village, it felt like being a winter fantasy. The rooms were excellently equipped with artsy furniture. Restaurants and bars were a short walk away and parking was available for free on street level. The surrounding houses are equally jaw dropping. Check in was effortless and very Gen Z friendly as it was done entirely without needing human interaction. I would not only recommend this hotel and Santa Maria to everyone but am hoping to return again very soon.

The host (Massimo) was a very sweet man who was very nice and inclusive. He did groceries every day, which we could use in exchange for some money. He even cooked for us twice, which was not only delicious but also fun as we got to know him and then found out he also played music. During those evenings, we played music together and drank wine. All and all, a perfect Italian night in the beautiful mountains of Cicogna.
