Porto Vecchio is perfectly located at the very beginning of the Old Town, with everything the city has to offer within a two-minute walk: markets, an excellent ice cream shop, the promenade along the port with numerous restaurants, and narrow streets full of charming shops and views. The area is cozy and lively, capturing the true spirit of Chania’s historic center. Our room was simply delightful. Despite its relatively small size, it was exceptionally well-organized and equipped with everything we needed: an ironing board and iron, plates neatly tucked in drawers, cups, mugs, and a coffee machine. The balcony was small and without a view, but it was perfect for sitting in the evenings and soaking up the sounds of the city. In case of rain, there is no protection, so a plexiglass screen instead of the straw mat could improve comfort for the cushions and anyone sitting there. The view from the window was truly remarkable. We overlooked a narrow street with a beautiful view of the Centre of Traditional Folk Art and Culture, right across from the property. Leaning out of the window, people waved at me, thinking I was a local resident — I waved back, and it was such a charming and memorable experience. Chania can be busy and noisy, and many visitors often mention nightlife with loud music until late hours. Here, however, there are no nightclubs nearby, so although there is pedestrian traffic, we never heard loud music or disruptive noise — it was peaceful and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and well-appointed, and the provided toiletries were of excellent quality. The property offers an easy and flexible check-in with a code for the intercom and a room key card. We were also able to leave our luggage in a secure area after checkout, which made departure hassle-free. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly throughout our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Fagotto Art Residences and highly recommend a visit. The residence is full of history and charm, bringing you right back in time. The view from our balcony breathtaking and very romantic. The jazz bar underneath our balcony adding to our wonderful experience. The rooms kept very clean, the staff very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the residence. Perfectly located, a 2 minute walk to the harbour, beside lovely small streets, which show case the old town at its best. Lovely restaurants with delicious food and great service. Thomais was absolutely a wonderful host. We were completely spoilt with her hospitality and special treats throughout our stay. Our stay in Chania was enhanced by staying at this property. The location is also excellent. Close to the Old Town but located in a quiet position. We had a restful sleep each night without noise disturbance. We came by bus to Chania, and found it a easy 20 minute walk to this location.
