Everything! Very homely and warm, it felt like an enjoyable and authentic experience. Above all, the treatment is fantastic - all needs were covered no matter big or small. I know it's advertised as a hostel but it's top class here. Looks more like a posh hotel. We had Room 8, top of the stairs, a long way up if you aren't too mobile. We advise only taking up what you need and leave the suitcases in the car. Lovely size room, good water pressure and hot water in the ensuite shower. No kettle so that means you must go downstairs for hot water to make a cuppa. Kitchen has several fridges, an oven and several cooktops, microwaves, plenty of cooking gear and china. Lovely dining room. Then there's the lounge, just so comfortable as shown in the photo's. Everything here is five star.

Lovely location, spacious bright room, good tea & coffee facilities with complimentary treats. Breakfast was excellent. Hosts were so welcoming & helpful. I would absolutely recommend Buchan to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Borders region.

This small country inn is situated in the centre of Moffat, a former spa town where national bard Robert Burns was one of the many visitors who came here to take the waters.

The breakfast was really nice. The guest house is just a short walk to the shops. Nice woodland walk at the back of the property.
