Very nice renovation job. Simple layout but functional. High ceiling so feels very airy. Comfortable beds with high quality bedding. The first floor has a restaurant “La Fonda” but was closed when I stayed. I think it can be more noisy if the restaurant was open. There were three units on upstairs. And common area for coffee and tea. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Set in a tranquil location in the Salnés area, 500 metres from Monasterio de Armenteira, La Pousada is a Galician inn well-integrated with the surrounding landscape.

Modern architecture with an eye toward tradition and blending into the landscape, the common areas enjoy panoramic views of the countryside. Staff was also wonderful and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, finished with interesting materials and furniture; we enjoyed a small porch with a seating area as well. It is a 5 minute walk from the monastery and the famed Ruta de Pedra y Auga along the Rio Armenteira - which was why we wanted to stay in the area. Finally, the complimentary breakfast truly is one of the best you can find anywhere (and perhaps the only one you will find nearby), which makes the overall cost very reasonable.

It was super well located, very clean and cozy. They had a kitchen with some refreshments and cold water in the fridge. Although it’s located in the town centre, it was very peaceful and quite.

Beautifully decorated, yummy wine and friendly host Having a glass of wine after swimming in the saltwater pool after a long day walking - bliss!
