Property is breathtaking with beautiful views on the national park. Staff is exceptional: very friendly and looking out for your every need (eg bringing wet towels right after safari, setting up a private romantic dinner). Food is wonderful and the chef was very thoughtful. Safari was expertly organized, with a knowledgeable guide and great lunch set up in the park. Could not recommend more!

Mooie kleine safari glamping met drie tenten. Fantastische en vriendelijke ontvangst. Personeel deed er alles aan om er een fijne ervaring van te maken. Geen super luxe maar wel een echte ervaring in de natuur. Diner was heel lekker met zoveel mogelijk lokale producten. Aanrader!

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay inside Yala National Park, a rare and exceptional experience, as mobile camping is often unavailable in other parks. We initially had reservations about staying in the heart of the jungle, but this concern was quickly forgotten—the location is absolutely amazing, offering the real jungle experience we were seeking, free from the usual human or vehicle noise. This truly is the best place in the area, situated immediately next to the park, where we were delighted to see a wide variety of birds around the camp, and a nearby lake yielded incredible sightings, including four elephants and numerous crocodiles. The overall service and culinary experience were exceptional. The incredibly friendly staff always worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable, and we truly appreciated their efforts, understanding that running a camp inside the National Park means they cannot offer the same luxuries as conventional hotels. Sara, the manager, is a good and brave person to successfully run this challenging operation with his dedicated team. The food was a major highlight and truly the most delicious we had in Sri Lanka. The chef prepared the food exactly to our preference, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond when we requested Halal food by personally showing us their preparations. The glamping tent was spacious and well-made, and we enjoyed a delightful BBQ around a bonfire. Our full-day safari was very successful; we were lucky enough to spot two leopards and elephants, making for an impressive wildlife experience. A memorable moment occurred when a leopard approached close to our tent in the evening—we suspect the aroma of our cooking meat might have been the attraction! Overall, the seamless operation, high standard of service, excellent food, and the thrill of the jungle proximity made this a truly remarkable stay.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Exactly the place to start safari in Yala (VI) . Thanamalwila also had the cheapest "Lion" on Lanka :)

Flameback Eco Lodge ligt in Yala, op 42 km van Situlpawwa, en biedt een conciërgeservice en gratis WiFi. Het is een heerlijke locatie. Het uitzicht op het meer. De zonsopgang vanuit je lodge is adembenemend. De staff is heel erg vriendelijk en niets is hen teveel. Het eten is voortreffelijk.

Een hele mooie glamping voor als je midden in de savanne toch luxe wil verblijven. Het personeel is echt fantastisch en doet er alles aan om je verblijf goed te maken. Wij verbleven in de boomhut en hadden hierdoor prachtig uitzicht en ‘s ochtends werden we begroet door eekhoorns in de bomen. Het eten is ontzettend lekker. Het wordt vers bereid en elke maaltijd krijg je weer op een andere locatie waardoor het altijd een verrassing is. Ze maken de plek heel mooi op met allerlei vuurkorven, waardoor het heel romantisch is.
