There is live traditional German music every evening, and it was surprisingly entertaining, and being in Rüdesheim, you need to be prepared to for things to be a little over the top touristy-wise. Great choices for breakfast (not vegan though).

The hotel breakfast was great value for money. Excellent service (server was English speaking) and food variety was good. Hotel is located across the street from the Rhein River (2-3 min walk). Two restaurants located across the street from the hotel - RheinSchänke - MM Rheinterrassen GmbH & Co KG and another small outdoor restaurant overlooking the Rhein.

The brightly furnished rooms at the 4-star Hotel Zum Bären include cable TV and safety deposit boxes. Most rooms can be easily reached by elevator. Breakfast was good. Sunday was nice to have sparkling wine and salmon. This was not available Monday or Tuesday. The selection for breakfast was fresh and nicely presented. Our room was a good size, but we did not spend too much time in it as we were enjoying the christmas markets. The location was just off the main square which was goods, as it was a quiet room.

It is close to a cable car station from where you can access the town. Breakfast was tasty. The views from the hotel are fantastic!
