Four-Star Hotels in Tiruvannāmalai

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean with hot water in the shower and it was very quiet. It is a bit far out of town but there is a very good restaurant nearby. Nishanth, the manager, was very helpful in ordering auto rickshaw and making sure our stay was comfortable. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Dinakaran and his wife made me very welcome in their guest house. The room was the only one on the roof so very quiet, there was no air conditioning but it was fine despite the April heat. I didn't eat with them as I didn't know I could, which was a mistake on my part as Dinakaran's wife's cooking looks very good so don't make the same mistake I did. Dinakaran picked me up from the bus and kindly took me home on his scooter. The bus was late and he came back with his wife to make sure the bus was there. And for a few dozen euros, he also took me to the Tiruvannamalai temple, the Siri Aurobindo Ashrams, and part of the tour of the sacred mountain. And the next day I was leaving early but he dropped me off at the ashram so that I could take the walk up the mountain to a lovely viewpoint over the temple and the town, and see a very peaceful little ashram, where on the way up and down I came across two kinds of amusing breeds of monkey. Don't forget to take water, but on the way there are also small vendors selling water and lemon juice. Dinakaran and his wife do everything to make your stay a pleasant one.
