Everything is near the Hotel, you can go everywhere worth on foot. The hotel is very clean, with beautiful places inside. The room we stayed was very nice, clean, with nice mini bar and awesome bed, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on! The whole staff were so kind and friendly! They helped us with anything we needed. Natalia and Yannis, who are Greek as we are, were of the most kind people working in the hotel. Moreover, we were lucky enough to watch live music on Saturday night by a wonderful band, while eating dinner in the hotel restaurant.

The property is allergy-free and is set 300 metres from Edinburgh Playhouse. Room was very spacious and super comfy , we only stayed a single night, but would definitly have stayed longer. Staff was amazing and very welcoming, would highly recommend.

Beautiful historic suite in a beautiful historic location, but with great modern amenities, and helpful attentive staff. We went there for our anniversary, and loved it, and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in the Armory suite, and we loved the busts of the alchemists, the pictures of the kings of Scotland, and the steel plate armour helmets you can pick up. Not sure they are really historic though :) The restaurant is great too if you can get a reservation, but be sure to reserve early or you will miss out...

Each stylish room at Prestonfield House has antique furnishings, free Wi-Fi, plasma TV, a stocked minibar and views of the gardens and parkland. We opted for this location for our last 2 nights in Scotland, as we wanted to treat ourselves a bit and enjoy some quiet time. It delivered much more than that. The house can be very cosy if you enjoy its style. If not, you may find it old-fashioned. But either way, its charm it’s undeniable. The effort put into maintaining the property at this high standard is remarkable. We also dined there and the service and food were impecable.

Their warmth and kindness made the checkin process so seamless and every time I saw them I wanted to say hi to them! They made for such a lovely stay. The bar staff in the W Lounge whose names I don't remember (he was from Brazil and she had a lovely show style hair cut) make my time in the lounge especially great as well. Overall the warmth of the staff is unmatched in all my European hotel experiences!
