Some areas require climbing several levels. Amazing location. Comfortable. Amazing views. Right in nature. Staff were extremely friendly. The road to get there is not paved: if coming by car, you need a 4x4 that is off-road ready. Otherwise, there are readily accessible moto-taxis from Minca.

Breakfast was excellent. Although close to cento, we did hear any of the late night activities.

We stayed here for about 10 days and used it as a base for diving, remote working, national parks (all dive centers are within a 10-minute walk). The town center is close (with good restaurants for such a small town), making it a great location overall. Laura (and her mom) were super attentive throughout our stay. She always made sure we were comfortable and helped us organize taxis to places like Minca and Tayrona at good prices. The breakfast was extraordinary — with quite a lot of variety. On most evenings, there’s also a chef cooking dinner on the property, and the food was also excellent. Our room was big and comfortable, with a small fold-out table that worked well for a bit of remote work. The bed was large and comfy, AC worked perfectly, and room service was good. Great value for money overall. Would definitely come back! :-)

I went with my girlfriend, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The location couldn’t be better — peaceful and quiet inside, yet just steps away from the vibrant atmosphere of the park. The hotel itself has a calm, intimate vibe that made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were truly outstanding: highly professional, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Miriam, who went out of her way to make sure our breakfast was exactly to our taste every morning, and to Fernando, the administrator, who is not only a great professional but also a wonderful conversationalist. If you’re visiting Santa Marta and want a place that combines perfect location, comfort, and exceptional service, Placita Vieja is an excellent choice.

WiFi access is available in common areas and rooms. Buritaca River is 800 metres away. Everything was amazing. If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing place to unwind with great food and amazing staff, this is the place. Drink and food service at the beach and pool. Highly Recommend the mixed ceviche. Massages on site. Hot water showers and breakfast with several options to choose from. Good WiFi. You can also hike to a nearby waterfall for the afternoon. Highly recommended. I will be back when I can stay longer!
