It was such a cute hostel, absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough staying with other guests that were baking cookies and scones for everybody and people were open and friendly. Room was clean and super nice - and the owner is very friendly too.

we stayed in the self-service cottage, it is a very clean, comfortable house with artistic decorations, and high-quality furniture. This is the house with the most tableware I've ever seen. It is beside the Tongariro river trail. just walk to fly fishing. the another highlight is the cedar spa pool.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River.

The location was easy to find, very quiet, rustic but modern, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and the food was spectacular.
