The location is really great without being too close to Tenderloin. The room was very spacious and well equipped, and the hotel had a lot of amenities. The staff were very friendly - Rachel from the concierge desk was made for her job; she was super helpful and enthusiastic, and left a very positive impression. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it for a short or long stay in San Francisco!

Not far from Union Square, the Donatello offers a great city centre luxury spot. Our room wasn't quite what we'd originally ordered but the friendly and efficient hotel staff quickly sorted that out for us. The room was huge, the beds really comfortable and the hotel environs peaceful. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna, plus the fantastic panoramic city views from the 12th floor club lounge. A super place all round.

We moved this hotel. Travelled with 4 kids between ages 7-13. Hotel was full of charm, character, good location for sight seeing - easy to catch public transport to fisherman’s wharf. Staff were lovely. Games room was absolutely amazing for my kids who loved it so much.
