The apt is bright,clean, comfortable and quiet. Lynn is one of the best people I have ever met. Went out of her way several times to help a severely jetlagged woman who lost her luggage and left behind her coats. Thanks again.Hope we meet again. Hostess was friendly & provided a variety of activities & restaurants in Funchal. Her suite was very clean & comfortable, beautiful bed linens/pillows along with a microwave& coffee maker. Alexia room was a perfect for a short stay & the neighbourhood was easy to navigate once you got used to the hills of Funchal. Great place for solo travellers.

Hotel Porto Santa Maria is a very well-thought-out and comfortable adult only hotel. The location is perfect in Funchal - at the beach, next to the Monte Funicular, adjacent to the old town, near many restaurants, within walking distance to the new part of town. The rooms are spacious and have kitchenette facilities. There was music entertainment every night. Breakfast was plentiful. Above all, the staff were amazing. We highly recommend staying at Porto Santa Maria. One more plus: there is a parking garage if you have a rental car - no extra charge.

I really recommend this place! It is very spacious, very clean, it has all the amenities needed. The view is also one of a kind! It was close to the center, but in a quiet area!
