This is a great location in old town Torun. The staff is friendly and can provide excellent service in English. The breakfast is amazing, with huge variety and fresh cooked eggs and crepes. The beds are very comfortable. If you are accustomed to US luxury hotel standards, this property will still exceed your expectations.

Located right at the edge of the old town, the hotel was in a quiet location, with plenty of eateries, markets and Torun sights within a 2-10 minute walk. My room (209) was very spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of surfaces and seating area. Logical and adequate luggage rack. A power outlet on both sides of the bed. Plenty of lights and a huge window. Light natural and artificial. The door opened with a fob and there was no need to slip the key into a holder to turn on the lights and air-conditioning - they all worked independently of the key. Large shower. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom for your own toiletries Breakfast was a reasonable price and the buffet had a very wide selection, so you could sample various local/international items. I didn't try the made-to-order eggs, toasties or shakshuka as the buffet was plenty for me. The breakfast area was an atrium, so it was really lovely in the summer mornings. Knowledgeable, helpful, smiling staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations.

The boutique four-star Hotel 1231 is located in the Old Town right next to the Ruins of the Teutonic Castle, a major Torun attraction.

Quiet location but very close to all the hotspots in town. The host gave us clear instructions on how to get in. The studio is beautifully furnished and the bed and shower are very comfy. Even though it‘s located at the lower level, there is enough light in the room.

I wish we were able to spend more than one day at this lovely apartment. It’s stylish, comfortable, and in a great location. It’s in a typical apartment building so you live like a local. Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms with very comfortable beds and pillows, a nicely furnished living room with a sofabed and a dining table, a kitchen with everything you need including a full size fridge, small breakfast table, and (surprise!) a sofa, and a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. The bedrooms are on the quiet side – a green area that belongs to the gated community of a few apartment buildings. The living room and kitchen are on the street side. You can see a cathedral across the street. The apartment is just a short walk from Toruń old town. There is a parking spot on the property. There are several tram and bus lines nearby. There’s also a bus and train station – Torun Miasto – within a short walking distance. The manager is very nice and responds very quickly to questions and offers helpful suggestions for sightseeing.
