Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were spotless and equipped with both A/C and a fan, ensuring comfort in every season. Given Sri Lanka’s electricity shortages, it's advisable to switch these off when leaving the room. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and every member of the staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel truly welcomed. The pool may not be large, but it’s perfect for a refreshing dip. There are six sun loungers, three or four of which are covered, providing a great spot to relax even if it rains. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a shot, a thoughtful touch to start our stay on a high note. Breakfast offered a choice between Western and Sri Lankan dishes, with the local options changing daily. Each day, we received a complimentary 1-liter bottle of water per person and a coconut, which was thoughtfully brought to us by the pool without even needing to ask. Pool towels were provided, though you’ll need to bring your own beach towels if heading to the shore. On our last evening, the hotel treated us to a complimentary dinner—a gesture that truly showcases their exceptional service! The location is also fantastic. Both Secret Beach (which is becoming a bit touristy) and Mirissa Beach are just a 5-minute walk away. Whale-watching operators are also within a 5-minute stroll, and the main street is about 10 minutes on foot. We were delighted to see plenty of wildlife around the hotel, including peacocks, various birds, a snake, and even monkeys. Overall, our stay was fabulous! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would return for another memorable vacation.

From the moment we arrived we felt excited.It was bright and lively and we were looked after from the moment we pulled up.The staff service was excellent. Food was delicious and the room was amazing. I will most definitely be recommending this hotel and returning.

Wonderful hotel, in friendly Mirissa. Close to the beaches, coconut hill, many restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, with view of the jungle, the monkeys and the birds. One of the very best places we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Excellent gluten free breakfast!

Here should be the best hostel in Sri Lanka. When I met other, they shared their experiences as well. Location is nice. You can sleep without noise. And you can wake up with birds singing. Also they help about socializing. Almost each day they have done something. Beds are good and they have curtains which is you could not find most of other hostels. Their kitchen is nice, you can cook what you want. I definitely advise JJ's Hostel.

Prasad is a great host. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was very tasty and different every morning.

D Canal House is a bed and breakfast situated in Mirissa. The property is set a 16-minute walk from Whale Watching Mirissa. Every room is equipped with a balcony with garden views and free WiFi.

This was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. Such a friendly team who looked after us from start to finish. They welcomed us with a delicious juice and assisted us with our bags. It was raining and they leant us their umbrella when we went out for dinner. Really recommend Nava b&b if you’re staying in mirissa!

This place lives up to the reviews and is the best home stay we stayed in so far in Sri Lanka. Upon arrival the host greeted us with frozen towels to cool down. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom and bed linen. Good air conditioning in the room. Shower was hot! The location is great, a quick walk down to the beach and local restaurants. The breakfast was huge and delicious and the hosts also helped us move our tuk tuk and treated us to cool refreshments upon check out. Honestly the best place we have stayed so far!!

This property has been designed and built with guest experience at the forefront. When we arrived we were welcomed with a tour from one of the wonderful owners. The thoughtful layout and expert craftsmanship created an idyllic and relaxing experience for us. The staff at the hotel are friendly, genuine and attentive. Anthony was wonderful in ensuring we made the most of our stay and enjoyed our time there. From recommending gorgeous dishes to eat to refilling the coffee at the perfect time he was always there with a welcoming smile. We felt at home and welcome in this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer!
