The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the Asama Onsen town - it is the quintessential Japan countryside accommodation but with a modern twist. The rooms were fully equipped with all the amenities one could wish for, and our room came with a private onsen. We made sure to make the most of it. Dinners during our stay were also quite special, with the menu at the 367 restaurant changing daily. We were served local produce and meats, skillfully prepared by the team of chefs. We would 100% book this property again.

Hotel Tamanoyu features spacious public hot spring baths, as well as private ones. For further relaxation, it offers massages, Japanese cuisine and small classical concerts.

Everything! This place was an excellent tucked-away gem in a beautiful, small onsen town in the Chubu region. Highly recommend for any traveler or tourist.

Best thing was the no shoes policy - it was very nice and comfy to walk around in barefoot or in socks. Pajamas very also comfy and made the whole exprience very homely. The room and entire hotel had nice decorations which was nice. Typically Japanese hotels tend to be quite plain. Visited 7 different hotels during my stay in Japan and this was by far the best one.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodations with a garden and free Wifi. The air-conditioned accommodations are a 9-minute walk from Matsumoto Station.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. He let me have the room earlier and made me the breakfast earlier so I could take my morning bus on time. Great location, clean and quiet room, good meals, appreciate very much!
