This is a traditional Vienna hotel in a historical building. It is situated in the busy street next to Praterstern but most of the rooms face an internal courtyard and it is very quiet there. There are shops and restaurants around. The hotel has an easy connection to the railway station (direct metro) and the airport (train). It is also quite easy to walk from there to the centre of the city. I had a single room on the second floor, there was a fridge and a kettle, to make tea or coffee. Wifi worked very well. Breakfast was served from 6.30 (really appreciated) and the choice was very good. I especially liked the cakes (with apricots and cherries), they seemed home made (if so, I would like to have a recipe as they were truly delicious). All in all, my only regret was that my stay was so short.

The Guesthouse Vienna is situated in the heart of Vienna, just a 5-minute walk from Saint Stephen's Cathedral and next to the Albertina Museum.

The room was clean, cozy, spacious and very comfortable. The shower and the shower pressure were amazing. The receptionists were very friendly and spoke good english. The hotel is decorated in an interesting way and it feels very warm. I would recommend this hotel to anybody because of its qualities and because of its close proximity to city center (just one tram ride away from Stephansplatz). Will definitely come back if ever in Vienna again.
