• Bethel Rest ligt in een tropische, groene en rustige wijk van Hanthana Kandy. In de gehele accommodatie is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. • Het ligt op slechts 1 km van het beroemde Ceylon Tea Museum. We werden hartelijk ontvangen in een prachtig huis door Rasika en zijn vrouw. De kamer was netjes en schoon, het bed lag comfortabel en de douche was echt prettig, bleef goed warm. De tijden van het ontbijt werd met ons afgestemd wat erg lekker en uitgebreid was en er is tweemaal voor ons een Sri Lankaans diner gemaakt. Omdat wij niet tegen pittig eten kunnen was het helemaal aangepast op onze smaak. Het was geweldig! Het is een klein kwartiertje lopen naar het centrum. Je zit lekker net buiten de drukte en je hebt een prachtig uitzicht. Onze was is voor ons gedaan wat heel prettig was omdat wij langere tijd rondreizen. Wij hebben in deze tijd al veel hotels en homestays gezien. Deze was het leukst en met echt persoonlijke aandacht en gezelligheid.

Villa 49 ligt in het hart van de stad Kandy, op 1 km van de beroemde Tempel van de Tand. Het restaurant serveert lokale en westerse gerechten. Er is gratis WiFi en parkeergelegenheid. De zeer vriendelijke ontvangst van de eigenaar mevrouw Shanini. Ze bereidde voor ons een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Alles super vers en super lekker. De eigenbereide jammen (3 verschillende soorten) waren verrukkelijk. De lekkerste hoppers die we tijdens rondreis kregen. Shanini maakte tijd vrij om te tonen hoe ze die klaarmaakte. Het hotel was niet volzet en we kregen een gratis upgrade naar een nog mooiere grote kamer. Jammer dat we maar 1 nacht bleven.

Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge ligt te midden van glooiende en groene heuvels en de theeplantage Madulkelle. Na een hobbelig bergpad kom je op 1000 m hoogte op een ongelooflijk prachtige locatie. Omgeven door theevelden, de Knuckles mountains en Campbell Forest. Prachtige tenten om in te slapen, heel mooi restaurant met heel lekker eten en heel erg vriendelijke werknemers. Erg genoten van ons verblijf, een aanrader!

Het Sky Pavilion ligt op slechts 2,5 km van de heilige Sri Dalada Maligawa. Het biedt moderne accommodaties met uitzicht op de rivier de Mahaweli, de bergen en het weelderige groen. Everything! 😍 It was a nice surprise The hotel is in the high part of Kandy ( facing knuckles mountain and a golden Buddha), the view is spectacular. The Sky Pavilion is a jewel, decorated with taste, it’s quiet , clean and rooms are beautiful all with the stunning view on the mountains and you can also relax by the pool The manager takes a good care of his guests and the staff is really helpful and nice . They will help you with everything, visits, food and drinks , transportation , money change etc… In addition, the cooking is really good , the breakfast is top ! And finally , their Tuk Tuk driver is a gem, he will take you to the best places in the city . I will come back there .

Hotel Kandyan View ''Free pickup from Kandy city'' ligt in Kandy, op 3,3 km van Treinstation Kandy, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. I would like to mention that, firstly, I am thankful to the hotel host for arranging transport for me from the city center to the hotel for free. Secondly, they created good conditions in the hotel. There is a good swimming pool where you can rest comfortably. All the furniture is clean and new. Especially my room, which was cleaned every day. Even though the hotel is a bit far from the center, you can get there with a tuk-tuk driver named Arush. He is a good man and offers very reasonable prices to get to the city. Finally, I want to thank a man named Koan, if I am not mistaken, who works at the hotel. He is a good person who answered all my questions patiently and arranged a good breakfast every day, which made my day better

Hotel See Kandy beschikt over een buitenbad en comfortabele kamers met een balkon met uitzicht op de bergen. Het ligt op de weelderige, groene heuvels van Kandy. The view of the room was excellent. we enjoyed the breakfast. Nice and quite location!

De Settle Inn Tourist Lodge ligt in een semi-landelijke omgeving, op slechts 1 km van de stad Kandy en de Tempel van de Tand. Het heeft een restaurant, gratis WiFi en privéparkeergelegenheid. We had two rooms. In one room, we had a 4 year old. There was no charge for him, but an extra bed was provided. Rooms were super clean. Very nice upgraded bathrooms. The host was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good...standard fare with a nice fruit plate. The location was great. We walked to town along the lake. For families, there is a big playground right at the bottom of the hill, on the way to the lake and town.
