Nestled in the Chiltern Hills, just north of the River Thames as it winds through Buckinghamshire, The Stag and Huntsman is situated in the picturesque village of Hambleden. It boasts free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. The village is beautiful. The food was very tasty. The staff was kind and friendly.

This historic former brewery boasts light and elegant rooms with rustic, original features and fine Egyptian linen. Just 45 metres from the beautiful riverside, the hotel features its own French bistro. This place has had a serious re vamp . Having visited many times over the years there must be a recent change in management as the hotel has returned to its original superb level of hospitality. The staff are fantastic on every level and the rooms which have recently been refurbished are of a very high comfort level . Very good stay and highly recommended

Guests can enjoy cocktails and drinks in the bar, and there is a fitness centre and onsite spa. All staff members - the reception, buffet and cleaning teams were all lovely and helped us so much. The Glaze Restaurant is AA Rosette-awarded, offering a unique setting for guests to enjoy modern British and Indian cuisine with stunning views of the lake and landscaped gardens. Stay was great and was very impressed.

Originally a 16th-century coaching inn, The Crown in Old Amersham offers dining, traditional hospitality and easy access to the M40, M25, M1 and M4. Free parking and Wi-Fi is available on-site.

The Crown has a mixture of traditional and modern bedrooms, including the four-poster suite that featured in the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’. The room was spacious and beautiful. The bed super comfortable and the staff friendly and cheerful.

A 10-minute walk from the centre of Great Missenden is the Nag’s Head Hotel, a 4-star 15th century inn. Guests can enjoy contemporary styled interiors, Anglo-French fusion cuisine and free Wi-Fi.

Stayed in by Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor, The Bell, Aylesbury East by Innkeeper’s Collection now serves seasonal dishes and speciality drinks in The Bell restaurant and bar. Great food. Good breakfast at a reasonable price.

All the individually designed bedrooms have an en suite shower room, and our Boujee & Decadent's boast a copper or ceramic bath that fill from the ceiling. Grown Alchemist toiletries and bathrobes are included. Other features include free Wi-Fi, coffee machine, a flat-screen TV and touch-activated mood lighting. Very quirky and romantic. The Olde Bell, BW Signature Collection is a modernised 3-star coaching inn providing Ilse Crawford designed restful rooms with a rustic elegance. Some parts date back as far as 1135 and it has kept some of its original design features. Second time staying here to enjoy the lovely walks nearby on the Thames Path and come back to a warm welcome, a delicious supper and a cozy night’s sleep. Our favourite part of staying at The Olde Bell is the staff as they are genuinely friendly and kind.

The Pennyfarthing is an independent hotel in the centre of Berkhamsted, just 6 minutes’ walk from Berkhamsted Railway Station. Free Wi-Fi and limited private parking available (additional fees applicable). it's very central. perfect parking. can walk everywhere. lovely place.
