Andermatt
Hotel & Restaurant zum Schwarzen Bären is located at the entrance to Andermatt. In the winter it is walking distance to the Gemsstock cable car station where the ski bus stops that takes you to the Nätschen Gondola station. Further, it is a 2 min walk to the center of town where you can find all necessary services. Helpful staff and a good breakfast. There is no lift but Maria kindly helped us take up our bags. The suite on the 3rd floor was spacious and very well equipped. We liked the tea and coffee makers in the room.

The room was sweet and comfortable, and the bonus of the pussy cats at the property was great. The views were stunning and although just off the road, it was quiet, and easy to find. Breakfast was lovely. We asked about things to do nearby and were told about the cable car right next door which led to a fantastic walk.

Very nice design of the main entrance and rooms. very friendly staff and spaciest parking with direct access to check in or even your rooms. Spa has breathtaking view of the mountains. I liked the clean room and incredible breakfast that had a great variety of different food, sweet and not, and everything was really very tasty. The bar offers also very nice drinks that were beautifully served.
