I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.

We had the most amazing time at Leel’s Safari cottage! The room was perfect—super clean, beautifully designed, with air conditioning and a hot water. You can really tell how much effort they put into making everything just right. It felt so cozy and welcoming. The garden outside was lovely—well-kept, peaceful, and such a nice place to relax. And the food… wow! The meals cooked by Leel’s mom and his wife were the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Thank you both for making every meal so special! We also did the sunrise safari with Leel, and it was incredible🌅 He’s so professional and knows the park so good. He explained everything so calmly and made sure we didn’t miss anything. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you so much, Leel, for an unforgettable stay. We’ll always remember it, and we’re so happy we got to meet you. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 If you’re thinking of coming here—don’t think twice. Highly recommended!❤️

Beautiful tree house!! Very quiet and peaceful area with wonderful tree surrounded! Good size room and all what you need is there. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a great stop of for visiting the nearby safari. Everything was great. A real family atmosphere where everyone tries to make your stay as memorable as possible. They arranged a Valentines surprise for us, a cooking course which was incredible and thorough and also a great safari. Lovely big cool room too. Wonderful value too.

This property was exactly what was needed after a long haul flight. A peaceful sanctuary with a team who went over and beyond to ensure our comfort. The setting is just beautiful and is the perfect ambience to adjust and reset. The pool was the perfect temperature too. The Spice Garden is beautiful and make sure to do the complimentary your with the guide (who is a fountain of knowledge). We learnt so much and he was brilliant with our four year old. Seeing her excited over plants and spices was so special! Food was delicious and they accommodated our needs very well including a gluten free diet. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us, even setting up dinner on our terrace at the last minute when our daughter had fallen asleep just before we weee due to go to the restaurant. I couldn’t recommend this place more for its warm hospitality and beautiful setting.

I would like to thank our host Franzi, Kiki and the rest of the team for treating us with the upmost respect and kindness. The wonderful staff was very attentive and made everyone feel at home at all times. Everything has been taken care of from the day we arrived to when we left. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of varieties. Everything was freshly made with passion and love. Franzi would occasionally give us a ride with the tuktuk when going out, or in need of a quick transport. Her driving skills are simply unmatched and deserves mentioning. The days felt nice and long as the property offers a safe space to retreat from the busy, chaotic roads further south, making you enjoy every second at the property more. Stunning views from all corners into the vast ocean with unforgettable sunsets leave you speechless. Our trip through SriLanka was rapidly transformed from an adventurous busy holiday to a perfect relaxing safe space with direct access to the beach. Leaving this place makes me extremely sad but I am hoping to return soon again to spend some more quality time with the wonderful people I’ve met here, and can call friends. They have made our stay unforgettable. Much love xoxo

Uyana is an amazing hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The location is close but secluded at the same time. The pool was wonderful and the room was so spacious and super comfortable with the perfect view. Everyone on the team was so kind but I must say Janaka is the best hotel manager anyone could find. He was extremely helpful and very accomodating. I highly recommend Uyana!

A small boutique place in a quite area close to the main beach area. Well proportioned rooms that are cleaned daily. The hotel owners Peter and Glenda are superb hosts. The breakfast is fantastic, better than a 5 star hotel.

quick drive from the main road . clean and peaceful place with a nice big pool. actually its from their other hotel's they gave us the transport and made us have the pool. so beautiful.

I loved the peacefulness and great air quality in the place, Saman and Mesha were extremely accommodating and were excellent hosts I really felt like I was in my second home. The bungalow is clean and well insulated from insects and has all needed amenities. Saman is a great guide and Mesha is an amazing cook both very friendly and speak great English. I will really miss this place I can’t wait to come back!
