Clean beyond expectations, and amazingly helpful and communicative staff. Easy to find as long as you read the directions provided. Location is great, within walking distance to many mini markets, food stalls, and great restaurants. The owners and staff clearly put a lot of thought into this place. Beyond the basic amenities, they also provided a hairdryer with various attachments (including a diffuser!), and a scale to weight your luggage, which was very useful for us. Would definitely recommend A Residence to any friends and family planning to visit Kota Kinabalu.

It was perfect. Worth the price paid for one night. The location was on top of the Suria Sabah shopping mall. It's also near the night markets and seafood dining areas. A stunning hotel, the pool, gym and sauna are modern and spotless. Our room was upgraded and was spacious and maintained beautifully. We loved the waterfall shower and huge bed. We got room service and didn’t expect much but the vegan burger was hot and so tasty. Just the luxury we needed after climbing Mount Kinabalu!
