The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean bed sheet, blanket, and a cozy bed that made for a good night’s rest. The bathroom was large with good water pressure, two mirrors, and even a small cube of soap provided. I also liked the thoughtful touches such as the wooden towel hanger and standing fan. Right outside the room, there’s a dining table overlooking the owner’s beautifully maintained garden, a perfect spot to enjoy the peaceful greenery. Dinner prepared by the owners (upon request) was delicious and felt home-cooked with care. Mr. Chaluka and his wife are genuinely kind and helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. They also offer safari tours at reasonable prices, and for those interested in authentic Ayurveda treatments or spa sessions, Mr. Chaluka can also help arrange great options.

Whatever I say would be insufficient. They are very helpful and friendly. You can arrange the tour and car you want. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast is very good. You can see a lot of squirrels from the balcony of your room and you can also watch the monkeys while having breakfast. The staff and the owner will do their best to help you.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! They opened recently, so everything is brand new and perfect, but what really stands out is how much the owners clearly love what they do. You can immediately feel it in the cleanliness, the kindness, and even the care they put into the decorations. The bathrooms are spacious and spotless, the beds are very comfortable, and everything feels welcoming. Truly recommended!

I stayed at a hotel in Summerset for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent—staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. Even though it was a short stay, everything met my expectations. The location is near the Dambulla City center, convenient for Dambulla caves and Sigria. Property is managed very well, reality is same as pictures. This is approximately a three-star hotel, but it offers service comparable to a five-star standard. The hotel is very close to the Cave Temple and can be easily reached on foot. Although it's located less than 3 kilometers from the city center and there aren’t many restaurants nearby, there are plenty of small supermarkets and shops for daily necessities. A tuk-tuk ride to the city center costs around 500 Sri Lankan Rupees, so the location isn’t really an issue. The hotel room and bathroom are both very clean, with only minor hygiene issues that are acceptable. The only drawback is that the air conditioner is a bit noisy, but since we were quite tired from traveling, it didn’t affect our sleep. Additionally, the hot water in the shower is not very stable—most of the time it’s cold. However, given Sri Lanka’s warm climate, a cold shower is actually quite refreshing, so this wasn’t a major concern for us.
