What a place! The scenery is amazing, huts on the beach are so relaxing. But really the staff is what makes the resort special, they are super sweet and helpful. Had a great time and there are some good surf spots nearby, but without being in the bustle of A Bay. Would highly recommend, especially for couples and small groups that would prefer a more relaxed experience on this coast. Definitely will go back

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

We are a family of 4 with kids of 8 and 9 yo We almost cancelled our time in arugam bay… everyone was saying the weather would nt be good this time of year etc. we are glad we listen to the owners of the hotel and decided to stick to our plan! The place is awsome. The rooms we so nice. With everything you need. The swimming pool is really good too Just steps away from a private beach where we were the only ones. The restaurant serves delicious food and the staff was really good. The owners helped us with safari tours in the near by park and some surf lessons and rentals The yoga class was also really nice We had amaizing weather. And a even better time! Met some great peopler there and we were sad to leave!

Big thanks to Katherine and Michelle—we absolutely loved it here! The room and garden design is super stylish, and they really pay attention to all the little details. The restaurant food was great—we ended up eating there for three days straight! :) They also work with a taxi company that’s very reasonably priced and super reliable—honestly better than PickMe. We used them for the rest of our trip around Sri Lanka. Just a heads-up: the sea right outside the hotel is a bit rough, so it’s not the best for swimming. But the pool is perfect, so definitely go for that instead!

I am incredibly impressed with the outstanding customer service at this establishment. While traveling for work, I had to take public transport and required a very late check-in at 4 AM. Many other places either refused me or tried to charge for two full days, even though I was only staying for a few hours. In a last-minute decision right before boarding my bus, I booked this hotel and explained my situation. To my relief, they immediately agreed to my request without any hesitation or additional fees. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning, everything was perfectly prepared for me. The place itself is lovely, with a unique touch: each room has its own private outdoor seating area complete with a sofa, table, and even a ceiling fan. On top of all that, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of town, making everything easily accessible by foot. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for their wonderful hospitality!

Our stay at Beach Wave Guesthouse in a bungalow was amazing. So it deserves a 3 rating. It has been the best accomodation in Sri Lanka and Silmir is truly the best host you could think of Silmir will help with everything you need (from surf lessons to scooter rental). Rooms super clean with great mosquito net over the bed. Spacious and clean bathrooms. Great terrace with chairs and table + nice hammock in front of each bungelow. Nice garden and everything looks beautiful. Only short walk to nice restaurants and shops. Often super nice cake from Mohammed's mum. Thanks so much Silmir for this great experience. We can highly recommend you and your place
