Absolutely beautiful place with an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, making the experience truly special. A massive shoutout to the amazing manager, Tina, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect! Every detail of this unique stay has been carefully thought through. From the beautifully designed spaces to the great service, it’s clear that a lot of care and passion has gone into making this place extraordinary. Everything and anything!!! This place is a paradise on earth… truly magical! It’s 3 min by Tuk Tuk, or motorbike from the beach, which is just what you need to be away from the main road. It’s completely immerse in nature and next to the lake… endless numbers of animals and birds surround the property. You have a natural sounds playlist 24h a day!! The owner Andy, and the manager Yanaka + the cooks are the nicest and kindest persons, and they truly do everything to make your stay perfect!! The rooms are incredibly well decorated, huge and super clean with any type of facility!! The garden, overlooking rice fields, is a park itself. You can also get a massage booked or do yoga and breathwork under one of the many trees!! A true place for the soul 🌴🍉🥥 will be back soon

wonderful experience in sri lanka, the hotel was great, I am very grateful to Hashan and his brother and team for their hospitality, delicious food, pleasant stay. Hashan, a very good man, offered to rent a scooter and a car for a very good price, arranged for a driver to take me to the airport. I recommend staying at this hotel, I will visit in the future.

We had an incredible stay at Sola Hotel – it was our second stop in Sri Lanka, and we liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was exquisite, thanks to the amazing chef, and the cocktails were absolutely incredible, thanks to Wiraj. The manager also made our stay extra special with his warm attention. The design of the hotel and the surrounding landscape are stunning, and taking a shower there felt like a real luxury. A huge thank you to the whole team!

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking up and the nice part is if you have transport you can go visit the other beaches which are all in the same line and about 20-30 minutes distance within each other. There's a lot to do in terms if shopping some knick knacks, enjoying the food and some drinks as well. You just need to ask the locals where they go and what they like and you're bound to have a memorable time.

The room is nice and spacious and has airconditioning. We extended our stay twice! The host family is incredibly nice and helpful. They helped us get a scooter and treated us with coffee and sweets! Location is perfect, two minute ride to the beach and centrally located between Galle and Mirissa. The room is next to a school which you can hear in the morning. But with ear plugs it’s no bother. Would definitely stay again! This has been our best stay in the whole of Sri Lanka :)

Highly recommend coming to The Sandhya! Beautiful design hotel located right outside Ahangama. All rooms are facing directly to the beach. Everything is super well organised and the staff is great. The food is amazing and completely home made. You can also have traditional sri lankan food. No wish goes unheeded. The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip.

Max 5 min walk to Kabbalana beach, it’s located on the main road. Extremely friendly hosts, Dilan and Thileni felt as our Sri Lankan mum and dad, helping wherever they could: flexible breakfast times, scooter rental, taxi services and great tasty home cooked food! Thanks for a lovely stay.
