Best place to stay in Muong Ngoi. We stayed here 12 years ago and it was the highlight of our trip then, it has'nt changed, nor has the charismatic landlord Dr Joi and his lovely, hard-working wife. If you are lucky enough to be able to spend time here, stay at SuanPhao and go "slowly, slowly".

Excellent location - I had the river view while having a breakfast, and garden view from my bungalow. Breakfast is nice, and you can have both lunch and dinner as well. Everything is close, including the pier and a place you can rent a kayak from. Bungalows are nice, clean, bed is huge and comfy, with a mosquito net, water was provided daily. All the staff are friendly, helpful, some speak better English than others, but you can always find a way to explain what you need.

Loved the place and would highly recommend it: The direct view to the river and mountains from the room and private terrace is the best one can get. .Large room with comftrable bed, loved the outdour shower room On top of it the host- mr.Sinsai is a super host, promptly taking care for anything needed.

The Hosts were very nice and helpful! Nice Room on the 2nd floor with a nice view to the river with no other hotels on the opposite side of the river. We booked a one day trip with them, which was very nice. The Manager also helped us with buses to move on. We were lucky that we could extend our stay there.
