- Super clean and tidy - Really comfortable bed/beddings - AC (heating/cooling) - THE LOVELIEST PEOPLE EVER (who go above and beyond for their guests) - Very tasty food at the restaurant - Convenient location (only a couple of minutes away from Konpon Daitō – The Great Pagoda) and easy to get around in general - I booked only 1 night as I was on a tight schedule. In retrospect, a minimum of 2 nights would’ve been a lot better to explore Koyasan

Excellent, would stay again in a heartbeat. They were fantastic with my wife’s allergies and provided delicious changes that didn’t leave her wanting during the stay. It was clean and comfortable and we loved the space. Everyone was polite and helpful regardless of language barrier and it was a really relaxing stay whilst learning about the history of Koyasan.

Located in the sacred Mount Koya area, 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- is a historic temple and an accommodation for visitors.

What an honour to be able to join in morning service and have it explained. They were very helpful with all questions. It was very clean. Although booking.com only allows 3 people, they were able to accommodate room for 4. Thank you for welcoming gaijin.

The breakfast was amazing, we stayed for 3 nights and every morning it was something different, nutritious and delicious! Staying with Paulo was amazing, she really goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need. The space itself is traditional Japanese and was beautiful to relax in, highly recommend! Koyasan is a very special place, if I was to ever return I would stay again at koyasan space as it fitted the vibe of the whole village.

Very nicely located minshuku. Perfect for a stay after the first etappe of Kohechi trail. Since there was no accomodation available in Miuraguchi, after the second part of Kohechi, they arranged transport for us from Miuraguchi and back next morning! Iyuko waited for us and helped us out since one person had an accident in the mountains. She is a phantastic person! Excellent food and bento. Nice rooms. Public bath, free transport to it. We felt at home here all of us!
