Loved our stay here! Smaller room but we knew this going in, there was still space for all our luggage and a desk to put things on as needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, enough to temp us to buy one like that back home. They provided all the amenities you would need, and the onsen was really nice after a long day exploring! Although the onsen was small it was perfect as there was never really anyone else there when using it. Conveniently located close to train station and easy walking distance from tourist activity locations

We booked this hotel because it was close to Toshogu shrine in expectation to attend a festival there. Everything was great! The receptionist was very nice and helpful. There is a good onsen for guests. Nice lounge to sit for a complimentary cup of coffee. 10 meters a way from a bus station that is well connected to Tobu-Nikko station (included in the Nikko pass). Even when we had a malfunction with our toilet, it got fixed real quick and the host was quick to offer some drinks as compensation.

Nikko proved to be an amazing refuge from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, that was much needed. I visited in early September during a heatwave, and the elevation of Nikko and thus slightly lower temperatures made the stay incredibly refreshing. The temples, lake, waterfalls and the entire area were amazing to discover and very well connected with local public transportation.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip. If you travel on to Takayama I recommend seeing the one tenth scale model of the shrine complex which is almost unbelievable in its detail and precision. Nikko is quite a sleepy town and many restaurants shut very early so I recommend making a reservation. The Nikko pass is worth purchasing, we enjoyed a day sightseeing on the local buses and trains. We had an outstanding dinner at Global Table, located on the Main Street in Nikko, well worth booking this for an unforgettable experience with Chef Ishida.

Our trip to Nikko was nothing short of magical.

Our trip to Nikko was nothing short of magical. The town is surrounded by some of the most beautiful forests and breathtaking waterfalls I’ve ever seen. Every corner feels like stepping into a postcard—lush, serene, and full of natural wonder. The town itself has such charm, with its cozy streets, warm hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. We stayed for three nights, which gave us time to explore, but we truly wish we had stayed longer. There’s so much more to see and experience, and the beauty of the area leaves you wanting to return.

We walked to the Togoshu Shrine; make sure you're prepared for uphill walks and a lot of stairs. The Main Street leading to the shrine was amazing. A ton of food vendors and restaurants. We took the bus to Kegon Falls. The ride was spectacular through the mountains and the village at the top was a pleasant surprise.

Touristy, somewhat charmless town that is nevertheless worth it for the magnificent shrines (Shinto, and the resting places of the first and third shoguns) and temples (Buddhist) and the museum (splurge on the museum! Seriously). Many people go to see these buildings + the red bridge (which is merely fine - short and not really noteworthy), but don't venture to the outskirts of Nikko to take in the other sites (Kanmangafuchi Abyss, Botanical Garden, Tamozawa Imperial Villa and much more impressive Nikko Dainichi Bridge).

Good location close to both Nikko and Tobu-Nikko station. Tasty breakfast included, with Japanese (vegetable curry) as well as Western (toast) options. The hotel was quiet and safe. The room was somewhat small but not out of the ordinary for Japanese hotels. Probably would not be a great option if you are planning to spend most of your day in the accommodation, but since we spent most of the day out sightseeing and were only at the accommodation at night it was perfectly comfortable for what we needed.

very comfortable, clean and spacious room. After staying in tokyo with small rooms, the size of this room felt very luxe. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, the room has all bits and bobs you could need. The hotel is on a hill, takes about 20 minutes to walk down into town to tobu nikko. It was also 20 mins to walk to places like shinkyo bridge and Toshogu temples. was very easy to get a taxi (800yen) from tobu nikko Station back up the hill to the hotel too. would stay here again.

Onsen experience was an incredibly relaxing way to end each day. Food at the buffet dinner was incredible, delicious and included beef Wagyu, gyzoza, shrimp tempura, edamame, ramen and more. We loved sharing hotel with more local guests than international guests. We enjoyed the somewhat remote location because we had a rental car. We easily drove to Nikko National Park & Lake Chuzenji for trail walks and sightseeing.

The hotel is located in a very calm and peaceful part of Nikko, just next to a river. I fell asleep and woke up listening to the sound of water, I just love it. In addition, the hotel has an onsen and it was amazing after a long hiking day!!! All the staff are great and friendly. I got traditional Japanese room, which made my stay even more special.
