Breakfast was very good with a very large range of choice. The evening meals we had were excellent. The choice of wines was mainly from the local area. The pool and facilities were excellent. The hotel Mega Mare is located in private grounds with a well maintained terraced garden overlooking the bay of Sorrento, and has plenty of space for parking. Although the hotel is just off the SS145 you cannot hear no road noise nor see the road from the hotel. The hotel was designed and built by the owner of the hotel and his father to a high standard. You can feel the pride and real care in welcoming the guests by the owner and the staff. The height of the hotel above the sea of about 400 metres results in an outstanding view across the whole bay towards Sorrento and Capri, and every room has a balcony or terrace with this sea view. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, with a small fridge, TV, comfortable bed and a good wardrobe. The well-equipped bathroom is very clean. There is a good buffet breakfast in the large downstairs dining room again having the sea-view towards Sorrento and Capri. The hotel provides easy access to the bay of Sorrento, Capri, the Amalfi coast, Naples and the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii where we spent a very enjoyable week. The outstanding view must be one of the best in Italy; and we highly recommend the hotel.

A stunning little town which for me was far nicer an experience than Sorrento and a very practical and more local experience for staying in this area. Train service is good for going either direction towards Pompeii or Sorrento. Visited in October so was a nice climate.

Beautiful town and away from the crowds which was great. There’s enough shops and Titos restaurant again had the most amazing food and service we went there twice. The people are friendly and the train station to get to Naples or Sorrento was so easy and very accessible with frequent trains.

We stayed in the hills of Vico Equense at Villa Rosa and went to the town for a day. It was a charming town with incredible views. For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. For those who want truly incredible food, I would highly recommend having dinner at Villa Rosa.

Lots of place to eat, shop and visit.

Lots of place to eat, shop and visit. If you don't have a car give yourself extra time getting to and from as taxis are scarce and the buses really don't follow a schedule even though one is posted. If you are out for dinner you can get the restaurant to get you a taxi.

Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and...

Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. This means you are very close to both places and don't have to pay the higher prices in Sorrento or Naples.

the town was excellent location to Sorrento. train stn within a few mins away. apartment was immaculate I would recommend any one to stay there . Lovely clean large rooms all home comforts toiletries supplied and biscuits cakes and water and coffee pods also supplied . lots of towels. very modern apartment felt like a luxury hotel .

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our European holiday. The staff were lovely, the room was spotless and the location was perfect being right next to the train station. The views from the terrace were beautiful! The food at the associated restaurant was some of the best we had during our time in Italy.
