This was the best hotel we stayed in Iceland. The free amenities (Sauna, Hot tub, pool billiard, bathrobe, flip flops, etc.) and the free breakfast were just great. The room was modern and spacious. The northern lights wake up call is a wonderful free service (we didn't have any luck though). The location is incredible across from a volcano walking trail. Seriously, we were so excited when we saw what the hotel offers for such little money (in March). Will definitely stay here again when I return. Thank you!

I loved the setting, I felt immersed in nature. The room was comfortable & clean and the communal kitchen was well stocked with coffee, refrigerator, cereal & cooking utensils. The wild geese were lovely and roaming around our room.

Our three-night stay at the Vogafjos Farm Resort in Mývatn was truly magical, as we were fortunate to witness the stunning Aurora Borealis just outside our cabin doorsteps, perfectly living up to its reputation as the capital of northern lights. A "must-visit" bird-watching location in northern Iceland, with great scenery and impressive geo-thermal sites near by. Lots of way-marked walking routes around the lake and several places to get food and shopping.

It's a beautiful lava field and lake system.

It's a beautiful lava field and lake system. Old volcanos and lava flows. Dimmuborgir is a legendary place where the Yule Lads sleep through the summer. Bear in mind that the summer can have hatches of midges. Krafla Power Station, active geothermal mud pools, Mývatn Nature Baths. If you travel in the winter it's a great place to see the Aurora as practically no light pollution. Obviously it's not as nice as Akureyri, but I would say that as I live there

The location was perfect for visiting Myvatn hot bath (five minutes by car) and main lake Myvatn attraction. The hotel has new design furniture and is really comfortable. Two small hot pools are available. Please note that you can book directly at the reception desk your ticket for famous Myvatn hot bath with 10%. In the room there was a coffee machine.

Breakfast was great, smoked trout was excelent. We had peaceful neighbours. We had two rooms apartment. Location was good near Myvatn topsights.The best guesthouse what we had in the Iceland.
