A very warm welcome from the host’s sister who offered me a sandwich after a long journey. The house was superbly located with off road parking, a great view, the room was very quiet and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. Everything was very clean. Delicious self serve breakfast with a choice of things to eat. The host’s sister lives nearby so as a solo female traveller it was nice to know someone was on hand if needed. Also very relaxed around check out time. Really enjoyed my brief stay and it was a short onward trip to the Tarbert ferry

Carrig island lodge is in a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the castle, the house was absolutely immaculate and was fully equipped with anything you could of thought of like towels, shampoo etc.. as a family of 10 we all had loads of space in bedrooms and beds were so comfortable. A great B&B with very welcoming hosts Garret and Patricia. The room was a great size, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size and well set out. A delicious breakfast in the morning, I was very excited to meet Roxy! Amazing view of the castle and handy parking outside. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Breakfast was excellent. She even sat down with a cup of coffee and had a lovely chat with us. It was IMMACULATELY clean and immensely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. There is no private parking, but there is loads of free public parking right in front of the house.
