This property is absolutely gorgeous and just a short walk to the pub down the street. The thought that the host put into the walking paths, lights, fencing, shower facilities, communal kitchen, everything was spectacular. We only wish that we could have stayed longer! We hiked all day on Glendolough and returned to the Coach House for dinner. We did not expect the excellent food we were served in the restaurant. Our dining experience after a full day of travel and exertion was the highlight of my stay! Getting up for breakfast was also a beautiful culinary surprise. The food during our stay was excellent. We also liked browsing the gifts and keepsakes downstairs.

The apartment was very comfortable with everything necessary to look after yourselves for a longer stay. We had booked one night at the end of our trip and took the opportunity to just rest but there was so much more we could have done in the area. Bernie was an amazingly good hostess checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and providing a delicious breakfast.

Central location makes sight trips easy to plan. Several places of interest within 30 minutes drive. Russborough House highly recommended for a day visit. Wonderful gardens and lovely Birds of Prey sanctuary.

Laragh itself is a very small village with 3 restaurants, a small gas-station shop and a Wool garments factory outlet. We visited only one of the restaurants, because we really liked it. Impressive landmarks and history at nearby Glendalough (2km), with a beautiful visitor centre with lots of information and a film about the history of the monastery. We went there to walk in nature (in November!) and had good weather from sunny to some rain, and from frosty to 15 Celsius. The paths and trails are very beautiful.

The atmosphere in the hotel was both lively and relaxed, lovely staff, a bar frequented by locals, and terrific food with a wide selection and generous portions. The rooms were spacious, and the downstairs areas were comfortable and welcoming. We could have stayed a lot longer.

We got the wrong room, single instead of a twin...

We got the wrong room, single instead of a twin accommodation but they sort it out for the first night and then the next day they gave us a twin room for the rest of the stay. Great and very friendly staff. The administration does a great job in training them and been visible to all. The only draw back was that we did not get our room clean during our stay, the garbage was full, we only got towels changed.

This is a perfect location for walkers & nature lovers. The views are spectacular & if you're lucky with the weather, which we were, though it was February, there are some lovely walks in the area, both short & long-distance. Very popular with tour groups & families, especially at weekends ... lots of buggies, bicycles & dogs ... something for everyone! Lovely outdoor seating areas for coffee & snacks & tasty food in restaurant. Don't forget your camera for some memorable & scenic shots during your walks. Wear comfortable footwear to really enjoy & take advantage of the lovely walks, especially around the lake , up towards the waterfall ... so much to see & enjoy ... for adults, kids, & doggies too! Will definitely return!

We have visited Laragh on three different trips to Ireland, and we are always eager to return. It is a scenically beautiful area. We love walking the trails at Glendalough amid the ancient monastic ruins, and the drive through the Wicklow Mountains is stunning. Over the years, we also have enjoyed several day trips to nearby Russborough House with its art, gardens, interesting history, and excellent restaurant. The Wicklow Heather restaurant is world class, and the cafe in the center of Laragh has excellent homemade soups and food. Laragh is a great part of any trip to Ireland.

Absolutely beautiful in every regard. Attentive and friendly hostess Erica, gardens spectacular, room spotlessly clean and kept stock down to the water in the coffee maker. Such a wonderful location with views of surrounding countryside. An easy toddle to Lynhams pub or Heather House restaurant both if which are excellent. This place and Wicklow Mts are my pick for anyone's Ireland experience.
