I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location couldn’t be better—just steps away from the sea, where I enjoyed breakfast every morning with a breathtaking view. It felt like paradise waking up to the sound of the waves and having the beach right there. The highlight, though, was the host, who was incredibly sweet and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure I felt at home. Their warm hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable.

Dimitra is lovely, very welcoming. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and the facilities were excellent. Just a short walk to the bakery, beach, tavernas, and supermarket. Great location with a view of the beach from the balcony. Perfect for a short break or even longer. Nice to stay in Megalochori and experience a taste of a traditional Greek island.

Everything. Was clean and tidy. Rooms were spacious. Air con efficient. Fully functional kitchen. The shower was amazing, and there was plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Megalochori is a small village, Noima Hotel where we stayed was opposite the beach. There is a promenade right on the beach for early morning walks or jogging. The port is 3 minutes walk away, so we didn't need a taxi or a car to move around. You can rent motorbikes, bicycles and you can go round the island. There is an efficient and prompt bus service which takes you to the two famous beaches of the island (Dragonera and Aponisos). Both worth a day's visit and the sea is unbelievably clear and inviting.

I really loved this side of Agistri, honestly, when we had to pack up and move to a new room in Skala,I was sad. I really enjoyed the quiet, tranquil setting of Megalochori. Do yourself a favor and book a trip with Kristos on the Jaimaca boat tour, it was a fabulous experience. He also plays the Bazookie exceptionally well. It was incredible to see the shipwreck he takes you to and lunch in Methana was perfect. Can’t say enough about it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had on this side of Megalochori.

We preferred this end of the strip as it is quieter but still has good beaches, bars and restaurants only a few minutes stroll away. It has a couple of good supermarkets too. There is quite a bit of building work going on so maybe check with your host first.

We went out of season with few people on the island except...

We went out of season with few people on the island except the core of locals, most tourist businesses closed. We chose it as it is small and we expected it to be quiet, and only one hour from Piraeus by ferry. Nearby Aegina is much larger and another option, but you would need your own transport (hire cars available). in season i could imagine it being super busy and seeming crowded.

I had an incredible four-night stay with my mom. The hotel is new, clean, and one of the only ones on the beautiful island of Agistri with a pool facing the beach, accessible day and night. This place is perfect for a calm, relaxing time, and the staff was super friendly. Shoutout to Rania for her warm welcome! I recommend this place 100% and would definitely come back.

Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Ideal central location for exploring both sides of agistri with bike hire nearby. Room was clean with good facilities and amazing sea view. Restaurant was very reasonably priced compared to the rest of meglachlori with a good variety of dishes to choose from.
