I hadn't visited Weston in years and had heard some not so good opinions; however we were all very pleasantly surprised. The town is very clean, people are friendly and the facilities are precisely what I expect from a traditional seaside town. I loved it and will return

Weston has a huge selection of places to eat and drink, and lots of choice for take aways too, if you prefer that. I stayed one night on my way travelling South and two nights on my way back North. On my second visit I toured all the parks and there are some lovely ones, especially Clarence Park which is very disability friendly (I'm on crutches) with a cafe, loads of benches and nice flat asphalt paths and even a public toilet that was clean and in working order. Grove Park is beautiful and includes a scent garden and Jill Dando's garden which is small but lovely. Three things in Weston were disappointing. 1) Having to pay to go on to the pier. 2) Having to pay for half a days parking even if you only want to go for a ten minute walk along the promenade. 3) The disabled toilets along the promenade being locked and shuttered so no chance of even using Radar key. I would have wet myself if a staff member in a shop hadn't taken pity on me and let me use their staff facilities. Would I visit Weston again - definitely but only if I knew the facilities along the promenade were going to be open.

Go and visit cheddar gorge and go in the caves, The biggest is the best, i was mesmerized at how beautiful the stalactights and stalamites in the caves are. A little exspensive to get in but worth it. If you work for NHS and have proof with you or have a blue light card you get discount. Make sure you wear a good pair of trainers or shoes in the caves. I don't think it is very good if you have a disability walking, i didn't notice that there was very much help in that aspect. There are also stairs in there and uneven floors.

I love visiting Weston Super Mare.

I love visiting Weston Super Mare. But I would avoid the school holidays, the Weston Festival at the beginning of November and when the bikers visit and are riding on the sand due to the town being over busy over these periods.

The town centre is typical seaside, catering for most needs.

The town centre is typical seaside, catering for most needs. The usual shops are there. The beach is not at all good, particularly at low tide. The sea is some way out requiring great care traversing mainly mud - not sand. Indeed, there are notices on the beach advising visitors to stay off the beach at low tide. Sandy beaches can be found south of Weston.

Fantastic location on seafront. Very clean and comfortable room. The bed was lovely and there was a good hot shower. I had everything I needed for my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was given great recommendations for dining out as the hotel kitchen was closed due to the chef being off sick. I would have loved to have tried the breakfast as the hotel has a fantastic reputation for breakfast. I can't reccomend it more highly.
