Fantastic, privately owned hotel. Great service and the food was fresh. Full English breakfast was incredible and we also had a meal one evening. Best gammon steak I've had in many years.Well situated for exploring the local area.

Absolutely fabulous location. Beautiful rooms. Exceptional service. Big comfy bed, well stocked bathroom. Swimming pool was excellent, there is also a gym, sauna and spa pool. High quality. Really reasonable price. The food was really delicious and high quality.

It’s located in a little fishing town, but I had plenty of room and that I was able to bring my bike into the little garden room overnight, so I didn’t have to worry about it being left in the car

Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get...

Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get around. However if you want to stay in the same place it’s perfect for walking, bird watching and just chilling out in the garden. Everyone is very friendly and the local borgue hotel is great for a refreshing drink and bar meal and they also welcome dogs in the bar. A very memorable hamlet inbetween kirkudbright and gatehouse of fleet.
