Characterful 2 bed cottage, quiet village setting is set in Ashleworth, 48 km from Cotswold Water Park, 10 km from Gloucester Cathedral, as well as 18 km from Eastnor Castle.

This cottage was beautiful, decorated with a mixture of old and modern. It was exceptionally clean and no comfort was spared. The cottage was fully heated on arrival and you also had the choice of more heat if you wished. There were plenty of towels, and really comfy beds. There are 2 bathrooms downstairs and a toilet and sink upstairs. Both bedrooms were very spacious. There was also a fully heated and very clean hot tub ready to use during anytime of the stay. The cottage is great for dogs, as it is easy to clean and there is a fenced out door space for them and a lovely walk through fields to the river Severn, to the front left of the cottage. There is also the added bonus of The Hub being a stones throw away, which has a store and a cafe - which was very friendly and had a good selection of food including. Veggie breakfast. Highly recommended.

Definitely a dog freindly hotel, nice walk around the hotel aswell as bins outisde to put dog waste in. Bar area was dog freindly and comfortable. Room was clean and provided AC. Only downside was it costing £15 to have the dog when there was nothing special provided just limitations to where we could go.

We were away for Christmas and it felt as close to being at home as is possible. Wonderfully welcoming staff- headed by Baba the owner, exceptional food and relaxing but efficient atmosphere.

What wasn't there to like or enjoy, what a wonderful place to stay. The staff and food were exceptional, the room was definitely a WOW factor. Would highly recommend booking, especially for a special occasion.

Made to feel welcome and valued from the moment we arrived. Reception worked some magic to get us settled in our rooms early and given the very good room rates we couldn't fault the rooms, service or location. Great parking and lots of excellent eating options close by.

The location is excellent for the docks or the nice pubs/bars/restaurants that Gloucester has on offer. We had a room in the courtyard at the rear of the property and it was very quiet. We are regular visitors to Gloucester as we have a holiday caravan a few miles away and were down to pay a bill on it, so decided to make a evening of it and saw this on Booking.com and decided to stay. This is going to become a regular thing now and may even spend a night here over Christmas. Overall its an excellent place to stay.

Amazing cottage in a wonderful village location.

Amazing cottage in a wonderful village location. The cottage was full of character whilst offering all the modern facilities you could need. The adjacent village hub offered food and also a well stocked shop and deli. Have never had such amazing cheesecakes the only down side was they are only available on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

It's more the wider area one should consider, not just the village. Although, there is a cute village store which seems cater for everyone's needs. The three counties countryside - the history, the contours, the colours - that is what you come here for. And come here you should. There are lots of sweet little pubs dotted all around. Lots of places to walk, to lie in the grass and relax, to read, to sing madrigals etc.

Easy to find, quiet village location with country walks all around. Local pubs/restaurants a short drive away but not open at the start of the week in early April. Not far from Gloucester, just a 10-15 min drive away.
