We had a great stay. Our room was very comfortable. The house is full of character and style. Breakfast was very good and organic, bread made from locally milled flour, local cheeses, homemade yoghurt, jams and cakes .

Beautiful house! The owners were really welcoming. The breakfast was lovely the next morning. Perfect location for visits to Peyrepertuse etc. We only stayed one night on our way inland.

This is an amazing building! Still all original features, scrubbed spotless and freshly painted to highlight its tiled floors and lofty ceilings. It has a lot of charm, with a relaxing and homely atmosphere. Audrey made us feel extremely welcome and was a meticulous and friendly host. This is a lovely and authentic place to stay. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal too! We really enjoyed our stay here.

Great base for a a few nights to tour Cathar castles in the region. Only 2 restaurants and one bistro but quiet place and convenient to Queribus and Peyrepertuse and Aquilar. Hiking options in the area also.

We were there for 3 nights, and we enjoyed our stay very much. There are several castles, gorges and pretty villages to visit, and we could have also visited a winery or more, but we never got to do that. So I would definitely like to go back. There aren't many restaurants in town, so you might get to a point where you'd like to try something else, but there's plenty to do and see for at least 5 days or a week. We went to the nearby Cathar castle Queribus, and a small gorge, and we also travelled to Perpignon, took a trip to the mediterranean and visited La Grasse. There are mountains, wine country and beautiful nature, and people are very friendly and helpful. For a foodie this is also a great area of France to visit!

Cucugnan is a charming hillside village, but easily accessible and a great area for walking, touring and wine tasting. There are many historical attractions, (Queribus and Peryperteuse castles) in the area. My snug, en-suite double room was very clean and comfortable, with its own door to the terrace and stunning views. There are several bistros nearby serving excellent food. The host is very friendly and helpful for walking advice. The host serves a substantial continental breakfast and chats with the guests. I stayed two enjoyable nights

This hotel's location is perfect for visiting several Cathar castles. It is located in a small, picturesque village. Staff at hotel are very friendly and were very helpful with my food allergies. Breakfast was a good buffet with choice of bread (gluten free if you need it), boiled eggs, meats, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereal and very good coffee. The room was spacious with views across the valley. The beds and shower were fantastic. The best restaurant meal of our trip was at the hotel restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel.

Cucugnan is very small and accommodation centrally located. A little tricky to find by car,ask for instructions. Very handy to visit both castles querebus and peyrepertuse in 1 day if weather ok and host will give you background knowledge.

Excellent hotel, staff and location. Food in their restaurant was amazing as were the views from our bedroom. We will 100% use this hotel again and wouid wholeheartedly recommend to other travellers.
