Striking scenery from every aspect.

Striking scenery from every aspect. Arriving at the train station was disconcerting, being in the middle of nowhere, but the bus delivers you at the foot of the aqueduct. Amazing. The Cathedral and Alcazar are definitely worth a visit. Just don't expect a coffee before 9am.

The aqueduct is worth seeing, visit the Real Casa de Moneda (Royal Mint) and the aqueduct center is in the same facility. We were unable to get a guided tour of the city, so we downloaded a tour on our phone which was great, we were able to go at our own pace.

Segovia is beautiful with a number of historic sites and places to stop and rejuvenate. I highly recommend the cafe in front of the Alcazar which has the most wonderful terrace at the back with spectacular views.

This is a beautiful city with great architecture.

This is a beautiful city with great architecture. Beware of the pickpockets though. One trick they tried on us was the splatter of "bird droppings" and then offering to help clean your back while the remove your necklace, watch etc. Thankfully I was wise to this trick... it was either a VERY big bird or a squirter bottle.

Aqueduct and Alcazar are more than worth the visit.

Aqueduct and Alcazar are more than worth the visit. Highly recommend the audio tour at the Alcazar. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of shopping options. And one must have the churros. Very unexpected surprise by the good quality food at VIPs; do not let the fast food-diner decor dissuade you from eating here.

Segovia is one of my favorite cities in Spain, ancient and beautiful, and of course has its unsurpassed Roman aquaduct, worth a visit for this alone. But beyond that, each time we have been the streets have been full of fun loving locals, out enjoying life, and both young and old promenade until late, which to me is quintessential Spanish. It has an unsurpassed local party scene, and many young folks are literally up till dawn. Be sure and try the local favorite, suckling pig, widely available. We had a good experience at José Maria, a famous joint, which caters to tourists and locals alike, and has a really good bar. The meal there was professional, if brisk, the atmosphere boisterous, and the pig delightful. Don't miss the deserts.

1) The situation of the Hotel Infanta Isabel is superb: on the main square in Segovia opposite the cathedral and halfway between the aqueduct and the Alcazar so that one can reach these historical buildings quite quickly and easily 2) The breakfast was available in a small-ish place but the quality compensated for the size of the room; it was self-service and one could choose what one liked and even go back for more. It wasn't just the food but the hotel has an excellent coffee machine as well 3) The staff were all pleasant and helpful

Perfect location right in the old historic centre. Check in and out very easy and helpful and friendly. Communication before arrival and help with parking great. We parked at Oriental 10 mins walk and got a discount from hotel. Cost 18 euros which is pretty normal for paid underground parking in Spain we have found. Apartment spacious with lovely street view and very quiet due to double glazed windows. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. All clean and tidy. Many thanks.

The location is unbeatable, right in the city- old town. The garage is accessible (you need to pre book your parking spot), but easy to enter and exit. Hotel is in a very old building, with lots of character. Rooms are clean and simple, breakfast is good, with enough options. A very nice stay in Segovia. The town is a gem!

For a visit to Segovia on our motorcycles (our 3rd), this hotel is in a brilliant location for the city. Our motorcycles were secure in the underground car park, sadly unlike all other places we stayed at in Spain, this hotel charged for parking our bikes !! Breakfast was very good.
