The staff were very helpful and friendly and the place is very clean. It’s a short walk to the main high street and has a small food shop opposite. There are a couple of places to eat very close as well. I would recommend this place.

I had a wonderful stay at the Calafate. The location provides a spectacular view of Coyhaique and Cerro Mackay, and the panoramic windows in the room permitted full appreciation of it. It was only a 15 minute drive from the centre of town, and the hotel provided the contact of the charming Don Manuel, whom I used as a reliable and fairly priced taxi service. The staff were incredibly friendly, the decore and layout of the property outstanding, and the breakfast was ample and delicious.

Evertyhing was maintained properly and cleaned all the equipment in the hotel and especially all the staffs were very professional and they provided the top quality services and I was very impressed. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who visit Coyhaique.

simple but very cosy. we liked the real wood floor and bar of soap in the bathroom. Also nice and warm - with "proper"(european hot water radiators) heating. Way above the quality of most other, much more pricey, Aysen accomodation
