Salt was simply amazing, exceeded our expectations and so much more. Arriving to a beautiful sunset from the balcony over the river with kangaroos grazing on the lawn felt like a once in a lifetime experience. I love how they have scattered the placement of the villas so you never feel overlooked. The apartment was spotless and welcoming. A big thank you to Gayle who's customer service was exceptional. The team went above and beyond for the welcome birthday extras for my partner as well as our many requests throughout. Our bike ride along the road leading into the path with the mangroves on one side and the sea on the other is a must do. Stunning. Can't wait to come back!

My family met there for a reunion and booked six rooms. Heritage Guesthouse is well over 100 years old, centrally located and has been fully renovated. All rooms were generously sized and well appointed. There was ample food for continental breakfast. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distances. We had a great time.

The unit was modern and catered for what we needed for our overnight stay. It was within walking distance for easily going out for dinner, and to get to the beach/creek! We were very happy with our find in South West Rocks.

Beautiful quiet little town. Not far from anything. Club has great food and very friendly. Both convience stores carry just about everything, they are a little bit more expensive but that is normal for stores like this. Coffee van out front of general store had great coffee and food but can be very popular so expect to have a wait if ordering.evrrything is in walking distance- beach, club, shops. Nice park behind the club for little ones. Caravan park very central.

I am originally from the Macleay valley and have been to Hat...

I am originally from the Macleay valley and have been to Hat Head many times over 70 years. It is one of the unspoiled gems on the coast. Due to being surrounded by National Parks, it has not been able to grow by very much and as a result has maintained its unspoiled character. It's a very good place to stay for a relaxing time. It is free of all of the hustle and bustle of areas that have become typical tourist destinations. Out of South West Rocks, Crescent Head and Hat Head, Hat Head is my preferred destination. On my last visit (31 Aug - 1 Sept 24) , from the headland, I could see a pod of dolphins was having a surf in the little bay below the headland and about a dozen whales could be seen travelling north. One of the whales (about a kilometre off shore) breached, puting up a large spray of water. Unless you want to go out of Hat Head to look at other areas or go to a larger supermarket (Woolies or Coles), you can walk to wherever you want to go in the village.

Great location right across from the beach and a short walk...

Great location right across from the beach and a short walk to the patrolled beach area but unfortunately thats all the good things about the property. The whole house needed a good clean. There was about 6 months worth of dust on fans and there was only 2 ceiling fans in the place the rest were portable fans. Some of the lights were not working in the bedrooms and bathroom. The fridge and freezer smelt like off prawns and there was thick cobwebs in the corners of the room. A lot of the fly screens were broken on the windows or some windows did not have any fly screens which made it impossible to open windows with all the bugs. Some of the dining room chairs were broken with exposed screens which was dangerous. The bathroom door did not close unless you locked it and the shower screen was broken as well. The whole property needs a good upgrade and repairs completed.
