The property is non-smoking and is located 19 km from Kiruna Bus Station. Superb, quiet cabin, with a stunning view over a frozen river. Great location to relax and take in the nature. Short 15 mins drive from the airport, easily accessible with a rental car, with the cabin being both remote and actually not too far of a drive from a small supermarket etc. Extremely nice and helpful owners, with Cecilia being super warm and always at the ready to help, living on the same property. Very clean cabin, with a great high bed, incl.a remote-control adjustable matress and a huge panoramic window above the bed, for that perfectly relaxing viewing point for aurora. Highly recommendable !

Northernlight cabin is a beachfront property situated in Kiruna, 19 km from Kiruna Bus Station and 22 km from LKAB Visitor Centre. Located 22 km from Kiruna Train Station, the property provides a garden and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is set 36 km from Esrange Space Center. The owners were so nice! Our car got stuck on our way to the hotel, and they drove out to help us. Overall, they were super sweet and helpful throughout the stay. The bed was also really comfortable and it was nice and cozy in the cabin. I truly love this place!

The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

This hotel is in Abisko, just 2 minutes’ walk from Abisko Östra Train Station. Abisko Mountain Lodge’s in-house restaurant Brasserie Fjällköket has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced ingredients. 2 km away from us you can find Abisko national park and the Aurora Sky Station. In the lounge bar you can sit and relax in front of the fireplace. We booked a cottage and it was so so lovely! Kitchen was super clean and had everything you need to cook a meal (there is also a supermarket nearby), the couches were comfortable, bathroom was also clean and the beds were cosy and comfy! There were electrical heaters in the rooms which were more than sufficient to heat the cottage and it had a nice little terrace. Use of the sauna and showers was also very nice, it was clean and well arranged. We had the breakfast in the main hotel and it was very good, with a great arrangement of food and drinks. After we had to check out we only had a train a few hours later but we were welcome to stay in the lounge area of the hotel, which was very comfortable and had some games! I will definitely come back here!

Buffet and continental breakfast options are available at the lodge. The property offers a magical and unforgettable experience where you can live among reindeer. We stayed in a large tent with a private toilet and felt very comfortable. In winter, you need to keep the stove burning constantly; otherwise, it can get quite cold. However, even this adds to the unique and enjoyable experience. Dinner was very satisfying in a great atmosphere.

A group of friends traveled to Kiruna (Abisko National Park just 1 hour and 30 mins away) and we were very happy with the accommodation we chose. The hosts contacted us soon after the booking and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Stefan welcomed us and the cabin was clean and warm. We enjoyed our stay there. A little bit ouside of the city, we got to experience the most amazing Northern Lights we could have ever imagined!

Aurora Camp Kurravaara offers a range of accommodation from simple cabins and cottages without running water, to unique glass huts and private fully equipped cabins. In the summer Aurora Camp Kurravaara also offers tree tents. Bed linen and towels are always included. Our lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.
