A variety of cafés and restaurants are within 5 minutes’ walk of the property. A shuttle service and laundry facilities are also available and charges apply. Good and spacious apartment with veranda located close to the river. We only spent one night, so could not profit from the good location, but laundry facilities were good. Not too far from the few restaurants of the town. Also close by car from the start of Tongariro alpine crossing.

Matamata Lodge is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Matamata, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The bed and breakfast features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Breakfast was a perfect little type of European breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer. Had we thought about it earlier we would have stayed 2 nights here instead of Auckland.

Taupo Airport is 61 km away. Big open shared spaces made it easy to navigate. All of the amenities were new or great condition. The bedroom had all we needed and the shared bathroom spaces were modern and very clean.

Outdoor seating is also available at the apartment. Peacefull and quiet. Great facilities and private and clean. Would defo recommend to single travellers especially. Cost was very reasonable for this time of year

The units at the holiday park come with a seating area. Units are fitted with a kettle, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi, while selected rooms also feature a terrace and some have sea views. All units feature bed linen. It’s isolated, yet has all the features. There’s a nice pool and spa, a small shop for essentials and has a nice laundry area for a quick wash and dry. A really nice sunset view from the beach right across the road.
